Twice GRAMMY-nominated and awarded the DownBeat Critics’ and Readers’ polls consecutively since 2002, Joey DeFrancesco is unquestionably the world’s leading Hammond B3 jazz organ player. In his storied career, DeFrancesco has performed alongside Ray Charles, Arturo Sandoval, and countless others. He’ll be joined by the Georgia State University Jazz Band, founded over 30 years ago and led by Gordon Vernick, who has also backed notables such as Nicholas Payton, Slide Hampton, David Sánchez, Jon Faddis, and Jimmy Heath.
