One Mother’s Connection to the Rialto
The last five years have been quite remarkable for Nikki Brown. Nikki a small business owner as well as a student and a member of the Naval Reserves moved to Atlanta in 2008. In 2009 she began dating Chuck Brown. In 2010 they got engaged, in 2011 they got married, and in June of 2012 they are expecting their first child together, Morgan Destiny Brown.
In 2011 the Rialto Center for the Arts became part of their lives when they were searching for the perfect place to have their wedding. Originally referred to the Rialto by their wedding planner, Nikki met with Aimee Schmidt, Events Coordinator for the Rialto. Nikki said, “I didn’t know anything about planning a wedding but Aimee gave me so many great ideas.” When the actual day came, Nikki said, “The staff was great; everybody was so accommodating and helpful.”
Nikki and Chuck recently had their baby shower at the Rialto Center. The Browns have enjoyed the ability to create a unique experience at the Rialto from a themed wedding to a delightfully pink baby shower. Nikki said, “I can’t imagine having an event anywhere else.”
Jo Costanzo, Rialto Events Manager said, “We love having repeat clients and feeling like we can be a part of celebrating special family occasions and milestones. The Browns and their friends and family put a lot of thought and detail into their planning but then when the time came they were able relax and enjoy each other’s company. That’s what makes a truly wonderful and successful event. We can’t wait to have them back!”
